Netflix adds games, but there is a trap

Netflix has officially added videogames, real and direct video games, at the service today. In case you have lost it, Netflix recently hired Mike Verdu as Vice President of Game Development as part of a broader plan to offer video games and then announced that videogames were offered as part of Netflix's normal subscription at no additional cost . What Netflix had not said is when that could happen, but, well, today is the day! But the incorporation of video games today comes with a fairly large trap: currently only in Poland, there are only two video games and it is only for Android.

More specifically, Netflix has added video games _ stranger: 1984_ and STRANGER THINGS 3: The game at its service in Poland so subscribers play on Android mobile devices. Since, after all, this is Netflix, it is not surprising that the two Stranger Things titles are in the mixture, especially because there was a moment in which Netflix was working with TELLTALE GAMES before its initial closure in a Stranger Things project . It is also worth noting that this new initiative differs from the previous games in the service in which they were interactive stories with specific options presented. That does not mean that they are not games either, but the interactive video is not always the first thing in what people think when thinking about videogames.

As noted above, it is currently not clear when Netflix could expand this initiative beyond Poland. Only two video games This stranger: 1984 and Stranger Things 3: The game, are currently available through Netflix in Poland. You can check all our previous Netflix coverage here.
