Who inWorld of Warcraft misbehaves, will in future be booked faster -. But also the detectors get more information
Reporting of disruptive players in World of Warcraft often feels to wasted time. Whether that really brings something and annoying players get a penalty, you never know - at least so far. Blizzard wants to change something with Patch 9.1.5 give players more information - both the victims and the perpetrators.
What is the problem? In a MMORPG with many thousands of players such as World of Warcraft, not any other player is a nice fellow. Occasionally players choose offensive names, behave in the chat as a bull in or harass any other way. But reporting on the system does not feel particularly good. You never know if Blizzard really does anything against the troublemakers and therefore feels powerless and abandoned - something that will resolve the developers.
What Blizzard wants to change? In the developer notes to patch 9.1.5, Blizzard has listed a number of features and improvements related to the reporting of other players in conjunction. This applies both to the players, the other report, as will the troublemakers even Blizzard.:
- If you report a player for verbal harassment or other disruptive chat in the game, you get a message if the appropriate player was sanctioned.
- If one's behavior stands out negative, you get a warning so you can correct their own behavior before there is a sanction.
- In severe cases, the system can, however, skip the warning and speak directly sanctions.
In future, there are so many more messages in the game when sanctioned - but even if a sanction if. That means more transparency for all concerned.
More about World of Warcraft's MeinMMO are here:
- Even in modern WoW spitting emote is removed
- WoW takes controversial change back, stroking the AoE-Cap
- WoW you give a mount, but you have to play Hearthstone
community likes it: Basically, the message comes in many good, at least most comments come a positive impact on wowhead.
- This is fantastic news. Too often it feels as if reporting nothing brings. But they also need to set more GMs. Honestly, invested more money in your customer support team.
- I'm glad we finally got a response when something happens, rather than to just sit around and hope that something has been done.
However, there are also some concerns because the alarm system was already exploited in the past. So VSozonov notes:
You need to ensure that mass messages can not be exploited. I just because we did not invite other players in our group for the fallen steed [a rare mount] and we then assigned directly to sanctions wurden. remind me of the early days of patch 9.1, where we were reported en masse,
What do you think of these improvements to the reporting system? A good step in the right direction? Or do you just live the whole experience before you believe in an improvement?
