Update, 10.09.2021 \ - Note: In an earlier version of this article, I spoke of goldsellers who are commissating the trade schansel. This is a misinterpretation of the RedDit Post, which has supplied the inspiration to this column. I apologize for this inaccuracy. Because the statement of the column can basically remain unchanged, I have changed the corresponding passages to clear that the stone of the initiation of the boost spam is for mythic + and not that - actually barely existing - gold spam. Incidentally, the advertising for Boosts in the trading shoul is not basically prohibited, pure advertisingaccounts can still collect a spell according to Blizzard FAQ.
Original message : Boost sellers who together with their WerbeaCounts comman from World of Warcraft s trade schansel, within the community of Blizzard s online role-playing game as an absolute succession of the playership. The developers who repeatedly proclaim a hard action against the spammer, whose advertising is also violated against the Terms of Use of WOW. Nevertheless, the battle against the providers of Mythic + -Boosts and the like the fight against a Hydra matches: a banned account will follow two new ones again.
So what do Blizzard s measures obviously did not make? The Reddit user Urnerd has a very own proposal: He wishes that only those accounts can use the trade schema, which have reached a minimum of 500 success points. But could that actually advance the boost sales via WoW chat?
Can an access restriction be the solution for the Boostspam?
Before we clarify the question, whether the unspeakable boost spam in the trade case with an access restriction on achievements curb as suggested by Urnerd, we first throw a look at the current situation. The WOW developers clarified that advertising can lead to the account bann. In the official FAQ of the game it is said:
The sale of game objects and services in the game (Dungeon carry or boosting) against real money is not permitted. [...] accounts that serve only advertising purposes can be permanently closed.
If you witness inappropriate advertising, you can report the relevant accounts at Blizzard. An exam of the account can then take a spell. The problem: First of all, it takes a while until the AccountBan comes into force. Until then, the respective player has already sampled tons of advertising in the trade schansel. Second, the spammers simply create a new account in case of doubt - and the game starts from the beginning. Goldseller in Wow nerves. Source: Blizzard Depending on the server, the Boostspam then accepts unbearable dimensions. Some WoW fans report reddit that the trade schansel has become practically unusable on their Realm and actually only populated by Werbeacounts. Could an access restriction, such as Urnerd she proposes, do it really remedy?
At first glance, the idea does not even sound bad: Boosters who want to offer their offer in the trading shoulder, after all, would have to take a certain entry-level hurdle. So that normal and especially new players are not disadvantaged by this limitation, they could be selected relatively low at 500 points. It would be conceivable that at least part of the boosters can be deterred therewith and the advertising gives up in the trading shoulder.
Do we need the trading shoul?
However, the whole thing in practice has one or the other hook: because the degree between an effective limitation for the boosters and an actual obstruction of the normal WOW fans is extremely narrow. Maybe he could not even set exactly. For a border of 500 success points could also be worth the effort from the point of view of the boostseller as well - after all, it s about the business. If you then need to operate for half an hour more effort per account, please do that, then do that. Meanwhile, the players are annoyed about a dispute whose effect in the end is significantly lower than hoped.
In addition, and then many WOW fans point out below Urnert s Post - the trading slose now has a pretty much out of time. Hardly a player still uses the channel at all, even because he is almost only flooded with spam the booster. Clear if the spammer would disappear, one could use the trading slogule again reasonably. But do we need it at all, in times of a well-developed auction house and the WOW brand? My answer is clear: no.
When I read the idea of Urnerd for the first time, I thought: cool thing, you could finally put this annoying boost spammers. But then I have noticed at closer inspection: I do not use the trading slogan, actually had him in 16 years WOW (buying 14.99 €) almost never used - and do not need it either. The solution to the problem: a simple / leave 2 so completely enough. And if I m honest, I m actually talking about the boosters, because it all do - without being really affected. So I do not need a restriction for the trading slogan.
Or what do you think about this? Are you annoying over Boostseller in Wow and wishes you a hardener through Blizzards? What suggestions do you have to curb the problem? Write us in the comments!
