The Youtuber Bellular has made many thoughts, what needs of Warcraft needs. A total of 10 steps are necessary for success, he says.
In World of Warcraft, not so much runs in recent months. Many players are dissatisfied with the current systems and Blizzard was quasi forced to react. First meaningful improvements should come in patch 9.1.5. But sometimes one is not far enough. The Youtuber Bellular puts a total of 10 demands in his latest video, which must comply with Blizzard if you want to bring World of Warcraft back to the right way.
Who is Bellular? The Youtuber and Streamer Bellular maintains the WoW community for many years. He is known for his extensive analysis, but also his particularly well thought-out speculations and interpretations to the Lore are quite popular. On YouTube he has proud 612,000 subscribers and his videos often reach between 100,000 and 300,000 spectators.
In his nearly 30-minute video, Bellular out a total of 10 points that Blizzard has to implement short and long term so that World of Warcraft returns to a better path and gives the players to enjoy the players long-term.
1. Recognition and insight
For Bellular is particularly important that the developers see and acknowledge their mistakes that they have decided things wrong. The great post from Blizzard to Patch 9.1.5 does not fulfill this from his point of view and reads for him like a justification. Bellular sees no reason to make it pleased when Blizzard is not ready to admit the own mistakes - because only then there is hope that even in future mistakes as such are considered and avoided early.
2 . Communication of the developers
Also, the second point Bellular measures a high priority: the communication of the developers with the community. In recent years this was painfully neglected and rarely community and developers in exchange. For other games, that's normal, but at World of Warcraft he has the impression that there are only in exceptional cases or answers of the developers. This inevitably leads to do not feel like giving feedback anyway, because there would never be a reaction. He says:
_Why should we play on the PTR and give feedback if we do not respond anyway? Why should it take care if you do not care? _
3 . Immediate improvements in the game
If big problems are found in the game, these must be fixed promptly. Patch 9.1.5 is a good first step and look promising. However, this must continue in the future and must not always take a year or more until criticism really arrives and the wishes of a large part of the players are implemented.
4 . Changes in the long term
All these changes would have to be implemented in the long run. It does not rich to fix the problems of the players now and to enable more communication just to neglect that in the next addon once again. If World of Warcraft wants to be successful, the developers would have to stick to the previous points - so long Wow a product is and no day less.
5 . World of Warcraft is not a job
From Bellular's view, the design in World of Warcraft has changed over the years. It used to be a game in which one could work on his character and that felt satisfying and fun. In the meantime, WoW has become more and more characteristics of a job and that would be just one thing: exhausting.
He explains that: work is something you like to do, such as working on a hobby. A job or job, on the other hand, is something that many would practice mainly to do the things that give them pleasure.
Wow has to change his design here, so that it does not feel like a job in some aspects.
6 . More content
Bellular can not clearly realize what is wrong at the content pipeline at Blizzard, but it must be clearly improved from his point of view. The last time the players had a reasonable amount of content, had been in the enlargement Legion.
The game has developed more in recent years in one direction of e-sport and session-based drain. That's fine in a certain way. But: The actual world of Warcraft must also be supported. Blizzard just forgot the players who are there for the world of Warcraft and not just for the gameplay of Warcraft.
7 . Creates a game, no extension
A big problem in WOW sees Bellular in the content that will throw away every time a new extension comes out. On the one hand, it is extremely bad planning, if all current content is simply irrelevant after 2 years and forgotten. On the other hand, it feels bad for players to experience a reset every 2 years and start from scratch. Blizzard is therefore to be planning so that even old content remains an option - maybe not from power gain, but as an activity you can do:
Thone to incorporate planned obsolescence in your design. Over 17 years development time, exactly now in World of Warcraft are largely wasted. As an example: There is currently no way for a group to go back and experience the grandiose RAID Throne of Thunder in a way that feels good. Give out the money, forms the developers and revives the old content again. (...) Maybe you just get a badge that you can exchange for a whole T-Set as Transmog at the end .
8th. Classroom
The balance of different classes has been a problem in World of Warcraft since Vanilla. Who plays the wrong class or specialization, which is taken into some contents much less often - or only groups that is not so important. This leads to every extension that there is a handful of specializations that have little fun in the game.
9 . Developed for the experience, not employment
Bellular believes that much in World of Warcraft is currently developing so much employment (engagement) from players. But little was done so that it is actually a pleasant experience.
The developers are supposed to focus more on creating a game that has the focus on how players feel at certain content and thus design it fun and joy.

10 . Brings wow home
The last point of Bellular refers specifically to the story and the setting of World of Warcraft. Many players started with WOW because they liked Azeroth and were interested in the world and their peoples. With the last extensions WoW is always worn out - now in Shadowlands everything is alien to. While this is quite good and meaningful, but slowly enough. So he demands that Wow reflected on the beginnings and it goes back to Azeroth, without building up new cosmic laws and entities.
What do you think of these points? Is your Bellular? Or do you have completely different wishes, which affects the future of WOW?
